Zone 3 covers Jogimahal, Padam Talab, and the famous Rajbagh lake area — one of the most scenic and wildlife-rich zones in Ranthambore.
Zones are allotted by the Forest Department — no agency can guarantee a specific zone. You can request zones 1–5 and we will put Zone 3 — Rajbagh & Padam Talab forward, but the final allocation is theirs. Open every day except Wednesday, from October to June. Closed for the whole monsoon season, July to September.
About Zone 3 — Rajbagh & Padam Talab
Zone 3 is centred around the iconic Rajbagh and Padam Talab lakes, which are among the most photographed locations in Ranthambore. The calm waters reflect the surrounding forest and are home to marsh crocodiles, migratory birds, and tigers that frequently visit to drink and cool off. The zone covers approximately 18 km and passes through Jogimahal — the historic forest rest house built during the Jaipur royal family's hunting era. This zone is particularly spectacular during the dry summer months when wildlife congregates around the water bodies.
