About Zone 6 — Anantpura
Zone 6 is part of the buffer zone of Ranthambore and covers Kundal, Mansarovar, and Guda over approximately 27 km. While tiger sightings are less frequent than in the core zones, this zone offers excellent bird watching opportunities with over 300 species recorded in the reserve. Large herds of spotted deer and sambar are commonly seen, and the zone is open year-round including during the monsoon season (July–September) when the core zones are closed. This makes Zone 6 a great option for budget-conscious travellers or those visiting during the off-season.
