Zones are allotted by the Forest Department — no agency can guarantee a specific zone. You can request zones 1–5 and we will put Zone 5 — Kundal Meadows forward, but the final allocation is theirs. Open every day except Wednesday, from October to June. Closed for the whole monsoon season, July to September.

About Zone 5 — Kundal Meadows

Zone 5 is renowned for its open meadows and grasslands that make tiger sightings particularly spectacular. The zone covers Jokha, Kachida, Bagdah, and Bakola over approximately 18 km. Tiger families — mothers with cubs — are frequently spotted in the open meadows, offering some of the most dramatic wildlife photography opportunities in the park. The open terrain also makes it easier to spot and follow tigers compared to the denser forest zones. This zone is a favourite among wildlife enthusiasts who want the best chance of extended tiger sightings.
