About Zone 8 — Sultanpur & Balas
Zone 8 covers Balas, Kalibhat, and Mahakho over approximately 16 km. This buffer zone is particularly known for its spectacular peacock population — the national bird of India is seen in abundance here, especially during the monsoon season when they display their magnificent plumage. Jungle cats and other small carnivores are also frequently spotted. The zone offers a peaceful, less crowded safari experience and is excellent for nature photography focused on birds and smaller wildlife.
